Both hands stay on the pouch. The foot pedal closes the jaw, a timer sets the seal duration to suit the film thickness, and a buzzer tells the operator when the seal is complete — so seal quality does not depend on how the operator is feeling at four in the afternoon.

No filling — this is a sealing machine. The thicker the bag, the longer the timer is set for; the buzzer signals completion. The platform can be tilted toward the operator so filled pouches present without spilling.
