A counting machine rather than a weighing one. The volumetric dish counting system picks up a set number of pieces per cycle, which is what you want when the customer is buying a count — ten tablets, twenty pills — not a weight.

The machine operates on the principle of filling by volumetric dish counting. The dish is configured for the piece size so that each cycle collects the same count, then releases it into the formed tube.

For dose-form products the count is the product claim — this machine packs to it.
Dish handling avoids the tumbling that chips sugar-coated tablets in an auger or vibratory system.
3-side, 4-side or centre seal to suit strip packs or retail pouches.
A roll of suitable width is mounted at the rear of the machine and fed through the unwinding assembly, held at constant tension.
Film is drawn over the forming collar and down around the forming tube; the vertical sealer closes the back seam to make a continuous tube.

Horizontal sealing jaws close the bottom, then the top of the filled pouch. The cutting device separates each pouch automatically.
