The fastest machine in the Packsol range, and the only horizontal one. Instead of forming a pouch and dropping product into it, the product travels along a conveyor into a tube of film that closes around it — which is why a flow wrapper can hit 130 packs a minute where a vertical machine tops out around 38.

No dosing system — the product itself is placed on the infeed conveyor, either by hand or by an automatic feeder. Flight bars carry each piece into the film tube at a fixed pitch.

A biscuit or a soap cake wants to be wrapped, not dropped into a bag.
Despite the speed and the 3.6 metre length, it runs on ordinary single phase supply.
Pieces are placed on the infeed conveyor by hand or automatic feeder, spaced by flight bars at a fixed pitch.
Film unwinds from the reel above and passes through the forming box, wrapping around the product as it travels.
Rotating sealing wheels close the film along its length, forming a continuous sealed tube around the product line.
Rotary crimping jaws seal across the film between pieces and cut, producing the pillow pack.
Finished wrapped packs run out on the discharge conveyor, ready for cartoning.
